Final Design

Knowing we didn't have much time we aimed to create one final piece so that we could concentrate all of our energy on that, so even whilst the possibilities were endless when it comes to draping and ruffling fabric (which is something I quickly learnt), we tried to focus in on just one design. I think our design was successful in that it captured everything we aimed to create, it had the large ruffled collar, which is something we looked at, ruffles and draping to manipulate the fabric and pattern pieces and an asymmetric design that connects fluently. One thing that we changed was how our final garment focused on a more refined colour palette than we initially started with, this was simply in order to create a garment that linked a flowed better, with all of the different fabrics. As a group we reflected and thought it would be for the best. This is something we would have developed further into more designs if we had the time.

Whilst working on our final design we also started to build our fashion folder, putting together all of the research, drawings, fashion illustrations and documentation images we had collected . Here are some of the fashion illustrations included.
