Developing ideas

After Printing on more fabrics and garment pieces we started developing on the technique we tried in the previous Fridays session, we explored the use of  draping fabrics more. Working directly onto a manikin was helpful because it enabled us to see our creation quicker, it gave us an instant image of what it would look like.



From this I started to develop some fashion illustrations, focusing on the way the cloth would fall, just developing ideas for what we could develop into. With this I also started looking for more designers that combined fabrics in a similar way to what we were doing in order to boost inspiration, which is when our group found this design from a Burberry AW14 collection.
