One thing I would like to change and develop from this weeks work is the overall design and composition of my samples, I feel like I need to remove my self from the straight lines now and start creating some samples which reflect my drawings

Embroidery - Developing samples [week 2]
During week 2 we looked at using the Tailor Tacking foot and
the zipper foot, after using the general straight, zig-zag and pre-set pattern
stitches in week one. Most of my samples this week consist of straight lines,
responding to striped fabric so that I can learn to understand the stitches and
what the machine is capable of. I also took some inspiration of various
artists, images and drawings I had found whilst researching. One artist’s image
that caught my eye is Emma McNally who’s graphite drawing (centre image) represented
some of the stitched marks I started to create.
